Did Kurt Cobain truly kill himself, or is it all a conspiracy?

I think we should remember him for what he did during his life. How he died is unimportant compared to his contribution to modern music.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow they came out and said it wasn't a suicide. There's just something about that whole thing that doesn't seem right to me... ermm.gif

personally, i don't think it was a suicide either... no where in the suicide note did he say he was actually committing suicide, and band members said that he was writing a note regarding his resignation from Nirvana, which was never found. Also, experts question the handwriting at the end, where he says he loves his daughter and stuff...

Just my two cents!! Kathleen, great thread biggrin.gif

Thanks for the comment, by the way!!

Yes, I agree, but there are so many people out there that don't give him credit and say ignorant stuff such as, "Oh, teen angst all the way! Let me go shoot my brains out!" That to me, is utterly rude. I'm posting this in here for all those that think he did kill himself.

Well, that's what critics do, isn't it.

If you mean critics as in music critics, I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about stubborn, incompetent people in everyday life...peers, I suppose.

well, everyone is stubborn in their own kind of ways aren't they? If I hated rock or grunge and couldn't care less about Kurt Cobain, I'll probably have said whatever your peers might have said.

Oh pft I definitely thing he was murdered! STUPID COURTNEY LOVE! BAH! Heh. Sorry. But yeah. There's a lot of aspects to it that makes it seem as it is; then again, you wonder if it's all media hype, you know. I honestly don't think he killed himself. Did you ever read stuff on that site? You should go to it. I'll post some of the points up there later...kind of lazy now. rolleyes.gif

And also, just look at all the stuff he planned on doing...I don't think he'd just quit on that stuff quite easily. He started designing the Jagstang for Fender and all that type of stuff...I don't think he was planning on not completing those projects.

We wouldn't have Foo Fighters today if Nirvana didn't split then, so I can't really say whether it was a good thing or a bad thing.

I try not to think of his death but more rather his life dedicated to music. LONG LIVE NIRVANA!

I'm sure Dave Grohl would've formed the band anyways.

i'm actually glad he's dead. if he were still alive, grunge would be ruling the world and in order to rebel i'd hafta be some kinda thug and i don't wanna be a thug.
nirvana is the second most overrated band ever, next to the beatles.

"I feel guilty beyond words about these things --
for example, when we're backstage and the light go
out and the roar of the crowd begins, it doesn't
affect me the way in which it did for Freddie Mercury,
who seemed to love and relish the love and adoration
of the crowd."

"Which is something I totally admire and envy. The
fact that I can't fool you, any one of you, it simply
isn't fair to you or to me. The worst crime I could
think of would be to pull people off by faking it,
pretending as if I'm having 100% fun"

"Sometimes I feel as I should have a punch-in
time-clock before I walk out on stage. I've tried
everything within my power to appreciate it, and I do,
God believe me I do, but it's not enough. I appreciate
the fact that I and we have effected and entertained
a lot of people. I must be one of those narcissists
who only appreciate things when they're alone. I'm too
sensitive. I need to be slightly numb in order to regain
the enthusiasm I once had as a child. On our last 3 tours
I've had a much better appreciation of all the people
I know personally, and as fans of our music, but I still
can't get out the frustration to gather the empathy I
have for everybody. There's good in all of us and I simply
love people too much."

"So much that it makes me feel just too f**king sad.
Sad little sensative unappreciative Pieces --"

"I had a good marriage, and for that I'm grateful. But
since the age of seven, I've become hateful toward all
humans in general only because it seems so easy for
people to get along that have empathy."

"Only because I love and feel for people too much I guess
Thank you all from the pit of my burning nauseous stomach
for your letters and concern during the last years. I'm
pretty much of an erratic moody person and I don't have the
passion anymore. Peace, Love, Empathy, Kurt Cobain."

does that sound like a suicide note?
