QUOTE([2)
Nekked,Aug 23 2004, 12:11 PM] its not really problems with firefox... ie doesnt really conform with standards, and a lot of codes people use..well..they shouldnt be using it. but then again, i dont see why those should be the standards if the majority browser is ie. ie should in turn, set the standards.

IE should not set standards. They are called standards for a simple reason; that being that EVERY browser can view the site.

Have fun with your stupid spyware. By the way, its spelled Naked, not nekked. wink.gif

I use Mozilla. I don't really mind when some things don't work in Mozilla because their proprietary to microsoft IE. But, I do get angry when some sites deny access to anyone but IE users. I was going to the yahooligan's tv section (they have the old mario and LOZ episodes), and I was shocked that my browser was denied access. I tried switching my user agent to IE (hehehe), but still, the same "Your browser doesn't meet the requirements" sign came up. So I contacted yahoo. And they said something like:

Thank you for contacting yahoo support. The feature you mentioned is no longer available or supported by Yahoo. Thank you for your concern.

At first, I was pretty sad, because then I wouldn't be able to watch my cartoons anymore, but then I got curious. I checked the Yahooligans! TV section and the cartoons were still there! They flat out lied to me!

So I'm trying not to use Yahoo!'s services anymore.

Yea yahoo does that also with Opera. Yahoo doesn't even have the <body> tag. Nor does it comply with the w3c standards. laugh.gif whistling.gif

i use IE too, but that's not the point. the point is, they should be making their websites coply to the w3c standards, but they aren't. so, if a boycott is organized, there will be bad press surrounding yahoo, pressuring them into fixing up their websites.

Wait....Are Mozilla and Firefox the same? Cause I use Netscape and I know it's Mozillla. Whoa. *confuzzled* As for me, I don't really care if I can't see scrollbars and such cause my IE is really really really jacked up. Anywho, I applaud you. thumbsup.gif
