some people think damn is a cuzz word cuz whenever i say damn they're all like *gasp! u cussed!*but the thing is i dont cuss and damn doesnt seem like a cussword to me.

It doesn't sound like a cuss word to me. To some people it does but i think people have different views on it. It isn't that vulgar as other cuss words

Unless you use it in a sense that it's somewhat.. er.. church-related? Like "you're damned to hell".. er, yeah. But I think it's a cuss word for the most part. |

well...try saying "damn" in school and see if it`s considered a cuss word or not.
i voted yes because mostly people use "damn" as a cussword anyways..it always depends on how your using the word. |

I think it literally is. A cuss word is a "curse" word. And when ur "damning" something, you're pretty much cursing it.

Pssh yea. That's why often I use DARN in front of my parents and stuff because they think only the F word and the D (damn) word are cuss words.

look at it this way. it shouldnt be but is. if i say damn, and wasnt quoting/reading something, i get in trouble at home. my teachers all slipped up last year and said it and had to apologize because it was cursing and being teachers they werent allowed to.
stupid prudes today(i can say that because im one of them...  ). they make a big deal out of everything. puritanism never fully went away, but left remains that still haunt us today. its also a result of janet jackson-gate but i wont go there...ooh oh also, its more of a curse than any other word because you can damn someone, thus cursing them. damnation, ie. i think i just contradicted myself but i made some undeniably good points

I guess it al depends on what kind of person your talking to. Like if your in school, you'll probably get in trouble for using it but I personally don't believe that there's anything wrong with it.
