haha yea this topics about tardies... im pretty well known for being tardy but this year its gonna change...i cant be tardy even if i wanted to lol.....

What are your school policies? Mine has changed this year and its very strict...

3 Tardies = an Absences
3 un excused Absences = 230 $ fine....
5 Un excused Absences = Automatic F in the coarse for the rest of the Semester.

Yea our school loses money when we're not there haha...weird new rules..kinda sucks, what are ur attendence policies?

--If ur late for class.. No one cares casue we always do it..

--If u come in really late tho, u just get a pass and go to your class
(u can only be really lat i think 120 times of 180 days of school)

--if ur absent bring in a note and youre ok..

--If ur absent and dont have a note, u can bring one in later, but if u dont and have and unexcused absentee then u get in a lil of trouble.. After 20 times of doing this, they keep you back..

--So yea, my shool is very laid back.. Casue they know that it aitn easy going to skool at 7.. LoL.

some teachers let u siled wit bein late but others will give a detention when ur late. if ur late twice in their class it's a deans detenion.

EACH unexcused absence = 1 sat. detention

it depends on the teacher.
but most are like:
1 tardy= detention
4 tardies= dropped from class? im not sure.

12 absences (excused or unexcused) = fail/drop/incomplete class

2cuts = 1 absense
2 absences = failure in the marking period

*for every unexcused absense you have for a class is a 60-min. detention

if your constantly late then they would call your parents and have a meeting
if your absent lots then another meeting and if that doesn't work they charge you a certain price for each day that you don't show up

third- ABS (Alternative Bell Schedule... go to school at 11:30-5:30!!! regular school hours are 7:05-1:50)

down here if u're ABSENT 15 days within 90 days, u get ur license or permit SUSPENDED until u go to school 30 days straight!

da last skol i attended were pretty cool. we can take 2 days leave for every module. our attendance must not drop below 90% if not we will be barred for examinations for tat module. plus it depends on da lecturer as well. we can stil come into class 1/2 late as well and yet still be marked present. oh yeah. did i mention tat we can leave da klas if we want to. let's say imma hungry and wanna grab a bite, i can just leave da klas and head down to da skol canteen. but most of da time, i dun return back to klas. before i knew it, lesson is over and imma still chilling over at ma club!! so yeah. ma skol totally rocks!! but we gotta be careful and not get overboard coz it might lead to serious problems if found out. but most of da time, i escaped unhurt!!

you get detention for any late, if you miss that detention, you get two more. if you get to 20 dts, you get detention every day for awhile or something.

the last time i saw that tardy form was 3 years ago, my teachers were cool and never gave me tardies when i was late, so it may be different now

hmm.... i think if u have too many tardies u get sent to detention and after the 1st time u go 2 detention u keep on going 2 dentention.....and then once u have had so many detentions u go to ISS....and so on lol

wow you guys have to pay? well if we get a lot of unexused tardies we just get an after school detention/saturday detention and if you dont show up to those then they take you to court and you have to pay a fine

Wow that is REALLY strict.

Our school doesn't really care. It depends on your teacher. If you have a teacher who's more tardy than you, then obviously nothing happens. If he ever decides to punish you, you can just be like, "Oh, so how many times have YOU been tardy?" Then he has nothing to say. Ahahah.

If you're late...I think like 3 or 5 times, then you get a call home. And my parents dont' care, so long as I don't skip.

yes. i was late almost everyday last year..[well i did have to travel to another state...EVERYMORNING.]

but this year:
late 3 times = one unexused absence
3 unexcused absences = one after-school detention
5 detentions = one suspention
5 suspentions = u get expelled..


i've only been late once this year.
