I havent been able to sleep for the past 2 weeks or so. I seriously cannot. I'm starting to look like crap, but I actually havent FELT like crap.I really NEED to sleep, considering I've had bad mono and can get it again...part of the cause is from lack of sleep. I have no idea what to do do fall asleep anymore. Last night however I took 4 Tylenol PM just because of the Sleep Aid, and it caught me around 3 hours or so. I don't know what else I can do. Do you have any tips on how to relax and fall asleep. I'll probably do this in combination with my Tylenol PM. It would really help me TONIGHT, since tomorrow is my first day back at my Univ. for classes wink.gif Thank you SO much.

yea i have a prob wit sleepin too, like i have to make myself go to sleep. i'll either listen to classical music or somthin that u dont usually listen to, cuz if u listen to songs u noe then u'll sing along to em and u cant sleep. or i turn off every light and the tv's and radio so i have complete silence and jus lay there. dont get up to get food and stuff cuz then u'll jus find more stuff to do and you won't go back to bed. hope i helped

hmm, is it healthy to take that many tylenol at a time? well, how about sleeping in total dark? no night light or whatever, except maybe that little light from your clock. and i know this sounds dumb, but start counting from 1 to whatever high number. and if you an, maybe try to do that in another language. it gets your mind going, but you get bored, and maybe you'll fall asleep. OH! haha, this is also kinda dumb, but you know how there's so many numbers in pi? (3.1415926535897834....) yeah... print out a copy of some 10's of numbers after, (maybe 50, or maybe a whole sheet) and try looking at them every night to "memorize" them or whatever. just stare at the numbers for a period of time, pore over them, make you mind dazed by them enough that you get really tired.... yeah... i've got weird ideas... i'm not really sure if they'll work for you, but just give them a try, good luck happy.gif

Lol is it me or there's many threads about this? Createblog ppl are insomiacs!

I always think doing sports gets you tired, so you'll sleep like a log. Work like and dog and sleep like a log.

Also, relax before you sleep. Don't think "OH CRAP I THINK I WON"T BE ABLE TO SLEEP AGAIN TODAY". Thinking that will just put pressure on you.

heres what u should do its quite simple, it is scientifically proven that when ur warm it helps you to fall asleep, get a blanket or 2 and try sleeping in pitch black dark it helps, if that doesnt work you might have to much on your mind and need to relax

well, i have that problem too. eh, i can't sleep at all until like 4ish, and it's really light sleep, so i'm never sure if i'm awake or asleep. but, hmm, maybe you should read a really boring book or exercise, that tires you out.

MAke sure you don't eat anything sugary or caffeiney after the sun goes down. And make sure nothing is on, no tv. Only music, if you want. Music and wear comfy stuff. Also, ask if your parents can give you a back massage wink.gif

ummm i wouldnt reccomend taking the tylenol PM if you dont have a headache or anything, you could hurt urself, cuz its not supposed to be a sleep aid like.. byitself.. i dont think. Just try to relax and dont eat sugar or drink coffee.

Tire yourself out throughout the day. Like I mean to the point where you feel like you are going to like where you cannot go on; the nearly passing out stage, lol. Once you're tired, shower, relax and take the Tylenol PM. You'll be knocked out in no time. Plus the Tylenol is going to help your sore muscles relax and the sleeping aid will help you sleep along with the exhaustion you are going to feel.

I do that because I too am an insomniac due to my hyperactivity. lol. So try it . . . it should work..

Good luck happy.gif

as useless as sophie_007 sounds (sorry) reading a boring book is actually very helpful. i had in somnia and then i read the autobiorgraphy of ben franklin and it would literally put me to sleep like nothing else ever had before

Why don't you tell your parents that you're having trouble sleeping? My friend, Rachael, told me about this two days ago, and she went to the doctor, and after a prescription, she felt a LOT better.

Don't take pills if you know it's not good for your health. >.<

You can watch the channel that is boring.. but-- you know what? Do what the others said.

if your old enough or your rents can get you a prescription for sleeping pills my rents take them or you could do something like go walking for a really long time and when you go home you'll most likely be tired
