help on photoshop brushes |

i have photoshop and i know how to do load brushes and etc. but i havnt gone on it for a while.. finally today, i went on to make a banner but my brushes werent there. i tried to load them but it wouldnt work. not even the original brushes that come with photoshop arnt there. HELP!?
