my parents dont hav a thick fob accent, and they're easy to understand... I wasted my accent like three yrs after i got here, so no more prob with that...

yea, my parents are FOP's (Fresh Off the Plane) although they're not technically "fresh" b/c we've been here for 9 years so yea
 . I mean I help them pronounce words correctly, like I'll say it and then they'll say it, but they keep on saying it wrong and then I end up saying it wrong too. Its funny  . But hey, they're old so I don't really expect them to be able to comprehend the diverse American language (whoa..big words  ) I mostly speak vietnamese to them.

I mean think about how much of an accent you would have if you had to move to paris or something and try to learn the french accent while speaking french. |

my dad is SUCH a HUGE fob. its weird, like he mixes up "he" and "she" and puts together weird meals for breakfast, like and egg and ketchup sandwitch. yuck.
