i think part of it has to do with the influence the media has on us now. older generations werent as influenced by mtv, vh1 and all that other stuff as the current generations are now. people begin to form the ideas that if you like someone, you should go out with them. and i think part of it has to do with the fact that some people who find only one person and then get married to that one person, may end up unhappy. so people wanna "experiment" i guess, and see what kinna people are out there

Yeah, most 12 year olds are just like that, not all of them are though, yeah it's kind of weird trying to find someone you want to marry at that age, but it's not like it's impossible. Just highly doubted. But yes, a lot just want a bf/gf to show off to their friends and tell their friends about how they made out while their parents were out last weekend. Some 12 year olds are emotionally and mentally mature enough to develop/maintain a serious relationship. BTW, I'm 12, I bet you're all thinking and going to say I'm stupid and I don't have a clue what I'm saying.

most of u older people can say u prolly had a boyfriend/girlfriend at my age

Yes, but for 99% of us, the relationships we had at that age didn't work out for longer than a month

i think its just for show 2, cuz while i was in 7th grade i used to ask my friend why he liked this grl, and he was like "cuz she look good" so basically he just wanted 2 show off that the person he was dating looked nice with no intentions on personality...

i never had a gf at all, and i just got my 1st kiss this year...

I am quite amazed at how 12 yr old kids have gf/bfs, I ask myself "why?" and I could never come up with a concrete answer.

do you people who have bfs/gfs really plan on living with ur "so called" loved one for the rest of ur life? hmm.. maybe you should travel more.. there are a lot more people out there, at least 1 better than the one ur with now!!
I think of it this way.. out of 1 school u like 3 girls,
therefore, ~3/~1400 people u would like to be with,
now.. if you add up all the schools together..
Y multiplied by 3 equals the amount of possible gf

Now.. imagine the people living in other countries..
In conclusion, there are way too many people out in this world to choose from. Picking at them 1 by 1, will not solve the problem. For a 12 yr. old to start "plucking" from the crop, is way to early. Children should learn to hold back "peer influenced" emotions and wait till they are mature enough to understand how relationships are supposed to work.

Note:pissed at 12 yr. olds.. cause school is starting
