Ok. I'm in a relationship where my bf and I dont LOVE each other. We just like each other alot. Some people think it's weird for us to be in a relationship and not saying I love you to each other. And they think we aren't going to last. That just get me straight up pissed off 'cause I know I don't have to say I love you to my bf 'cause we don't. And who said we are going to last I know we are going to breakup somewhere in the furture. I'm not saying I want to but I know it will happen. It's so much better than saying "I LOVE YOU ALWAYS AND FOREVER." I hate it when couples say that. ALWAYS AND FOREVER? blah.

i agree with you. just becuz you dont say "i love you" doesnt mean that you guys dont have fun and like each other a lot yanno? love is a strong word and should only be used with the ones that are worth it. we are still young and have a lot ahead of us. saying "i love you always and forever" is just bull since most of the time, people breakup a few months later. nowadays the word love is soo overused. screw the people that say its weird for you and your bf not to say "i love you". they dunno anything about you guys and the meaning of love.

i hope that makes sense. hahha.

edit

WOAHH! YOU GO TO MHS TOOO?! hahaha!!

I don't find it weird.
Actually, you might last longer than the people who are constantly I LUV U SO MUCH! and stuff.. because you're not taking it to the extreme, and you're obviously having a good time with it, so I think it'll last.

love isn't everything. most couples who go 'i love you' and 'we're gonna last forever' and stuff like that, they're fooling themselves. especially if it's "love" from day1 and they break it off and then there's no more love? i think it's perfectly fine to be in a relationship where you just really like the other person and i guess if you give it more time you might end up loving each other, but the word love shouldn't be tossed around like that..

if you know you are going to break up in the future... what's the point in staying together?? a lot of people break up because they don't see themselves having a future with the other person... so if you don't see yourself having a future with him.. then why be with him?? yeah, it's true that too many couples say 'I love you always and forever' but I know when I say it.. I mean it... my boyfriend and I have been together for 4 years and 5 months... and we do see ourselves having a future together.. and that's why we stay together... and say the things that we do... happy.gif but yeh, if you're not looking for a serious relationship or whatever, then I guess it's okay for you guys to not say you love each other or whatever... biggrin.gif

i agree wholeheartedly with you! and if people say that you arent going to last... well i think you have a better chance of lasting with him if you arent saying things you dont really mean... did that make sense? anyway... i had a boyfriend a while back, that i just liked... i didn't LOVE him. but he was always going on and on... "i love you" and "i'll love you always!" and "we'll always be together" in the end i broke up with him because i knew he wasnt really in love with me... and there was no effing way that we were really gonna b together forever.. we were only in 8th grade for goodness sakes... i can't even say "i love dominic monaghan" anymore because of that relationship. the word love just doesn't mean anything in this day and age...

well yea i kinda agree. it annoys me when couples say always and forever like the first day they start going out and stuff. i mean i can understand if they say that and they've been together for like several years but not if its like the first few days/weeks because its obvious that they dont mean it. truth is that i say it but when i say it, i mean it and its not like my bf and have been dating for a short time cuz we've been going out for a while. but yea anyways, i think its ok that you dont say it to your bf. i mean its the truth and im sure you dont wanna be like some peoples who dont mean it

I agree with you. If I was going out with someone, I probably wouldn't say I LOVE YOU to him as much as normal couples would because it's not the truth. I don't believe that true love exists in middle school or high school for some reason. I think it's rare for a couple to really "love" each other.

You're doing the right thing by not saying you love him when you don't. Just have fun with this relationship, it might turn into love you never know. And don't worry about what other people say, pay no attention to it.

Love has just become a word now-a-days...people use it as freely as they use the word....uh..lunch..for instance. For example this kid i know went out with this girl he knew for ONE DAY and all over his profile it was like "I LOVE YOU SO MUCH YOU ARE MY BABY ILL LOVE YOU FOREVER." then they broke up the next day stubborn.gif . so...if you are going to say 'i love you' mean it COMPLETELY, and if you don't say i love you , it doesn't mean that you don't love the person, you just don't say it every three seconds, you don't overdue it, which is good. happy.gif

yeah i agree with you... telling/promising someone forever at a young age isn`t the right thing to do, it`s like a commitment or something... and you don`t have to tell someone you love them to be their gf/bf... you can`t rush these things and you`ll be ready when you say it... it`s really cool you`re being truthful about everything and your bf agrees...

Wanna hear a funny story?

This girl goes out with this one guy for ONE DAY and that one day, I see her away message it goes, "OMG im off to soccer practice!!!!!!!!! bbl!!! i love u, doug!"

Yes and I agree with xoxspanky569, love now is like a word. Everyone uses it so easily...I bet most of them don't know the real meaning.
