im just gonna paste what i put on some other forum i found in someones sig here.. i think it was marias..

but yeah it annoys me when people complain about sites that arent compatible with your browser. you CHOSE that browser, not them, so quit your bitching.

QUOTE
you have the choice of using any browser you want. you picked mozilla/firefox. the others chose IE. remember that it was your choice. and its their choice how they want to code something. if it doesnt happen to be compatible with your browser... well then dont complain. no ones telling you to look at them. im sorry but it annoys me when firefox users whine about ie users. its a free world, and people are free to choose whichever browser they want, and however they want to code their sites. just because you happen to have a site doesnt make you a "professional" nor does is mean you want to be a "professional" or even claim to be. take my sites for example... both of them arent compatible with firefox. ive had a lot of people complain to me about it. if you think its annoying that our sites dont work with your browser, think of how annoying it is to have a bunch of people complain to you about it, when they were the ones that chose to access that website. no ones forcing them to.

oh and scrollbars.. i use ie. the majority of the world uses ie. yes firefox is growing, but its still in beta. ie will be the majority browser for a while. since im using ie, then using scrollbar style tags sorta makes sense, doesnt it? if you use firefox, then fine you dont have to use it. thats your perrogative.

im not trying to be a b*tch or anything, but people should really look at both sides. i realize its annoying for you to look at sites that dont work with firefox. a lot of people dont even know what firefox is. mozilla hasnt been around as long as IE has, and people are still getting used to it.

so what im trying to say is just give people a break.

i'd like to add that just because u didnt take the time to make it compatible with firefox, doesnt make you stupid, or lazy. grow up.

well...what i do to kinda resolve that issue is while i use firefox, i also leave an IE browser open so whenever im on a site that doesnt seem to work with firefox, i copy n paste the URL, switch to IE, and load it from there...(and switch back after im done with that page). either that, or try fixing firefox yourself if you got such a major deal with it....or just give mozilla some time to fix up w/e problems they have.

its not really problems with firefox... ie doesnt really conform with standards, and a lot of codes people use..well..they shouldnt be using it. but then again, i dont see why those should be the standards if the majority browser is ie. ie should in turn, set the standards.

Hey I use FireFox and I don't complain. I believe the reason people complain is because good web designers (pros, etc.) should make sites the are compatible with all browsers.

I'm freakin tired of people saying IE has a crap load of spyware on it. STFU

over the freaking years i've been on Windows i have never gotten spyware even with those stupid auto installers. When something asks you if u want to install something press NO unless you know what it wants to install. If you can afford it get Ad-Aware SE PRO/PLUS so you can run ad-watch it disables any installer from ever popping up. Another option you can use is getta firewall that will block those installers, like Outpost.

anyway,

my computer got spyware because of the pop up ads. yes, you can still get spyware from firefox, but it's unlikly.

i know people can pick what browser, but i think its better to go with firefox. it doesnt display code errors and if your site works in firefox, it works in pretty much any other browser. there so much firefox can do that IE can't. 101 things mozilla can do that ie can't

and if you are not good at coding, validate!

lol...yea, i gotta agree on this....

i think its just cause people installed stuff they wouldnt expect to have spyware or w/e installed (that one place that offered ie skins [hotbar or something like that]..that was a big one before it got shut down)....and of course, u got those people venturing in warez sites and wondering why they got sh*t piled up all over their IE..

when i first downloaded firefox, it was slower than ie ;o, bit now it's all good.

i got sypwear from going to sites with too many pop ups (i did not intend for it). i didn't download anything.

oh and on serpie somone repiled to your reply:
QUOTE
I disagree. It's not directly about the browsers - it's about correct coding. Mozilla only accepts correct coding. So people who only accept ie are saying "I can't be bothered to code my site properly"

i would have to agree with them on that.

edit//
if you still dont know what firefox is:
