hm i wouldnt compare Jesus and God with your face... cause there are some people with 2 completely different sides... and Jesus and God arent comepletely different.
i guess CrimsonArchangel's example of water is a good way of seeing who Jesus and God is. THey are the same, but diffent in differnt ways...

He basically asked why am I asking you guys questions when all the answers are in the Bible, and I replied that not everyone can understand the Bible without some help with interpretations from parents/teachers/Clergy/Church... etc.

This is gonna sound kinda rude, but DUH! Someone who is not in the christian faith has all the right in the world to ask questions. And yes, not even us christians fully understand the Bible. *Sorry, but like I've said before, I tend to be sarcastic. Sorry if someone got offended).

Yes, the Bible has had many interpretations in the past, but I think the message is still the same. Of course, there are some that are completely changed, but... nothing I can do about that...

So you are really using YOUR interpretation of the Bible instead of actually reading the letter of the Bible ... because society and government changes?

When did God give you the authority to interpret his word? It seems that if God is all-powerful, he would write what he meant and vice versa. In Timothy, it says that you should take God's word at face value, and not try to add words or your own interpretation to them. It is rather presumptous of you to think that you can know what God's intentions are ... and isn't that a deadly sin?

haha thats why christianity is totally based on our faith... if Jesus rose from the dead after 5 days he was crucified, if God hadnt created animals and humens on the 7th day; if one part of the bible was wrong.. [lots of IFS?] then christianity is all false and we'd be going to... where? hell? [if THATS even true] its a risky religion to follow...

anywaiz... GOD sent JESUS down to earth so that he could save the world... he wanted him in a human form, so GOD sent Jesus down to earth with the virgin mary... why mary? because she is GOD'S favored one...
p.s. jesus IS perfect, or else he couldn't of died for our sins... why? because he is pure, and we need a pure person to die for us... get it now?

But it isn't the exact words of God, so how do you know parts of it aren't His words? If God doesn't control man, how do we know the Bible is one hundred percent true?

No one really knows if the BIBLE is 100% true..but Christian believe that the follower's of God wrote it because God told them too. They still had the free will to say that they don't want to, but they recognize God as the One and Only Savior and King so it motivated them to want to write what God told them. Again, I know there aren't scientific proof that Bible is 100%.

No one created God, he was just there..he is the yesterday, today, and future

God brought Jesus into this world by Mary who is a virgin cuz technically she did not have sex with Joseph, that is why she almost got stoned to death cuz ppl thought she cheated on Joseph. So, mary was preganent by God...but not literally if you know wut i mean.

well if you can look at it in several ways.

if you consider the whole thing about jesus being born poor, being born not as a king but as a regular human being, it fits quite well.

mary was teenage mother. she became pregnant and had jesus. its simple. i cant back it up, but neither can the church back up half of its dogma.
