I don't even worship Buddha or talk to him that much. I am not a very religious person. Even if I believe in God and Jesus, and I talk to the universal being. Does that mean I still go to Hell because I don't worship him or read the Bible?

the real question here is .....when u die...do u kno u are going 2 heaven or hell? and why

it all depends on how you lived your life. only God can judge you. and yes if you lived a sinful life and was not openly remorseful you would go to hell. the reason to be good is not fear of hell but your love of God.

I don't think you get it. If I lied and said that I completely and fully believed in Jesus and God, that's like asking to get sent to Hell. Or maybe you did get that, I just wanted to make sure that would be acknowledged.

YAh your right. God doesn't want you to believe in Him for the sake of believing. I do believe that God has a purpose for you and in sometime of your life, you will see God's gift and what he has in store of you.

I know it's hard to believe..but yes..you can't just worship any God. That is his very first commandment, "You shall have no other gods before me" As Christians we believe our religion is the right one. I am not trying to sound arrogant, but that is what we believe to be true. So, if you can't say you acknowledge The God, Jesus Christ as Lord then I believe you will go to Hell.

every other religion's doctrine if it has one, contradicts itself at one time or another. I myself have researched other religions and have found this one to be the truest.

Thanks.

Yeah, sometime last year I had a sort of realization of how selfish and conceited and awful I'd been for awhile. So that was a big part in my life, and I feel much better now that I've realized how I was before. I regret that whole period, but I'm going to make up for it in time.

I'm not speaking religiously, necessarily.

;] I believe in God, and in some ways people around me influence to believe in Buddism and others.. I dont think its right that if you believe partially in another religion that you'd be punished for it.. Buddism doesn't do that.. I think its not exactly true..

Many other religions have the same fundamentals as the Bible, but if you believe as Buddhists do and not do anything negative toward a neighbor then that is like saying love thy neighbor as thy self. There is only positive and negative, good and evil, black and white, hot and cold.
There is no middle man. No gray area.

Choose a side and stick with what your heart leads you to believe. Don't get confused when you love something more than somebody then there is a serious problem. God's word is as good as God himself. Just like your word, it should be as good as you. Christ lived by example, follow it.

It does seem like you're trying to scare me into believing into God. The more you talk about God, the more I start not liking the idea of there being a God. And how you talk about him makes him seem like he's trying to make people fear him, and therefore obey.

Yes, I agree. Everyone talks so much about it that I dislike the idea..it's like He's some sort of evil dictator now. "Listen to me, listen to me, listen to me." I don't have anything against God, don't get me wrong. I think it's a good thing to have a religion to believe in, but I hate the idea of people pushing others to believe! You just can't do that. It's just morally incorrect.

let's say there was a flyer around school about a party in the Gym. When you go hear that the teachers are all aliens and are trying to get worms into the ears of all the student population. You witness one person get taken and you try to warn others not to go in there and are trying to save the world from the aliens. Your friends and parents won't listen to you because it sounds stupid and the party sounds like more fun.

Would that be too pushy then?
Ignorance is bliss.

Whoa. Is that from Animorphs?

Urgency requires trust, in which ignorance does not give. Bliss is ignorance, but so is urgency sometimes. IMO, I think it's best for all of you to check Christianity out, and then come here and have a talk with sik.

But you gotta check it out. _smile.gif

Except that Buddhims existed before the Christian era, and Hinduism existed before Judaism.

You mean that Christianity has many of the same fundamentals as older religions.
