Yeah.
They sure as hell should be equal, but sometimes it seems like they're not. ^__^

I guess it kind of depends on where you live, work, etc..

If you mean in skills, then it is impossible to measure equality. Each person has his/her own qualities that the others may lack; one man may be better than one woman, but another woman may be better than the man.

Society wise, it is also hard to determine equality. As Mr. Acid mentioned earlier, there is no drafting women (yet) and we certainly do not have equal pay. Some men may respect women, but others will look down on women. Some men may respect a FEW women, but look down on the rest of the population.... etc.

I conclude that equality among the sexes is too hard to determine... which is almost the same as no conclusion/not saying anything at all.

Men and Women will never be equal in society. When it comes to a career, it will slant towards men. Because humans are to biased to open their minds.

Agreed. Lol, but there's a few chance that for some certain jobs, it will slant towards women too and not just men.

Okay, so is this gonna turn into a debate about homosexuality? I mean because you're saying things that may be offending to other people. Lets all have tolerance please.

i dont care if im offending anyone, why should they let me dictate their lives? and yes the guy was changing this to homosexuality. because men and women are equal in their need for each other. in society men and women are equal, in actuality men and women are like apples and oranges. they are both better than the other at different things. because that is how they are built.

and hell no let's not have tolerance. u can be gay but i dont wanna know about it. it is nothing to be proud of. tolerance of that way of life is wrong. but it doesnt mean u arent accepted as a person in my book. u just shouldnt be waving around ur dirty laundry is all im saying.

There's so much sexism in the world, and I think that it's very obvious that it still is in favor of men. In Africa, there are tribes where girls as young as 13 are auctioned off as wives by their fathers. In America, women are widely thought of as housekeepers and cooks. Parents teach their children to think of women as weak and fragile. How many times do you hear young boys making ignorant sexist remarks?

True, there are some careers that are in favor of women. Like INTERIOR DECORATING. *cough* But it's just highly unlikely that women and men will be "equal" anytime soon.
