rofl... you're ignorant, ya know that??

Your first assumption... People who don't graduate high school are stupid...

Not every situation is like that, hun... far from it too... Ever think that maybe those people have personal problems?? Maybe they've made a few mistakes, and they can't go back on 'em now? Maybe they've hung out with the wrong crowd, they get distracted, ignore the fact that they need/want to finish highschool and just don't make it??

How can you judge someone just cuz they dropped out of highschool? You're an idiot to assume that stuff... seriously... You don't know what ANY of those people go through... Maybe doing things that caused them to drop out of high school were dumb, but you can't assume that they themselves are dumb as well

^Couldn't have said it better.
Sometimes they just can't handle high school because of some PERSONAL problems.

EXAMPLES: family drug use, family deaths, bad living arrangements, illness in the family, friend drug use, friend deaths, etc, etc.

They're not all stupid. Some are, yes, but don't be so f*cking quick to judge them that they're all stupid just because they dropped out.

How exacly does a friend's drug use have you drop out? How does a friend's death have you drop out? How does any of your examples have you drop out.

OBVIOUSLY all of the pressure put on them in those situations.

There are things to help you relieve you of those pressures. Friend's drug use, send him to some sort of group. Friend's death, counsler. Bad living arrangements, find better. Illness of the family, most probable there is another family member willing to take care of the person.

Not everything can be fixed that easily.

^Yeah, that's true, they can go to rehab and other groups and counselors, BUT.. it's still weighing heavy on their mind and they can't concentrate, so they think "why bother effing around here if I can't concentrate" and they make the choice to drop out.

Doesn't make them stupid.

uGhZ... drug addictions can fudge them up,they cant think straight, and maybe their drug addictions are too pwerful to overcome with the **** they also gotta put up with in school?

family problems....a death in a family or a terminal illness can traumatize a person for a long time, and the drama could just be too overwhelming to concentrate on anything but the drama?

yea i know people who dropped out of high school and got there GED , and they are x1000 smarter than ur ignorant narrow minded ass. just stfu and go flame ur mom or something

Obviously they are smarter than my narrow ass. My ass doesnt have a brain. I dont know about you. Again, you attacking me in the end. Okay, who goes INTO drug addictions. People who dont really care. People who are too stupid to live. Terminal illness? SOmeone in my school has to be in a wheelchair 24/7. She has a disfigured body. I dont even understand how her hand can hold a pencil. But she does it. Can you get more ill than that to not be able to pass HS if you have the chance to?

^Exactly. It's overwhelming when you lose a loved one, and you almost want to die yourself. All of that is weighing heavy on you, you feel pressured to do better than usual. You might actually snap from all the pressure. Seriously. So they figure they should just get one of the pressures/stressers out of the way, and that is where they choose to drop out.

You guys should stop accusing each other. Everyone's got their own opinions and point of views, and nothing's gonna change their way of thinking.

Ok... according to your statement... all dropouts are intellectually stupid... which usually is hardly ever the case... There are other ways of earning diplomas which are equivalent to a high school diploma... ie the GED...

I have two older brothers, both of which who didn't graduate high school. They're so effing far from being "stupid" or "dumb" or whatever you were calling HS dropouts. They're made some mistakes, hung out with the wrong crowd, etc. My oldest brother would go out, party, have fun, skip classes etc... Basically he was distracted away from school. He was ONE effing credit away from graduating... but yeh... they didn't let him graduate... but things happened, and he wasn't even able to go back to school... but he eventuallt got a GED, so yeh... equivalent to a HS diploma... anywho, he's far from being stupid for someone who didn't graduate HS...

Same thing with my other brother, except they kicked him out of HS and sent him to a community high school... he eventually got his GED too...

Both of them have made many mistakes... both had kids by the time they were 18... both hung out with the wrong crowd, etc... people make mistakes... I understand this... that's why I'm not quick to judge people for the mistakes they've made or anything

Intelligence wise, they're pretty smart... they may not make the best decisions, they do what they wanna do at the moment, but they're ok guys.

That's where i'll stop, because I think I've actually gotten off topic, or I'm going there. Bottom line is, not everyone who drops out of HS or doesn't pass it is dumb... some just don't care... some just have made decisions that they can't go back on now and they struggle to get their act together again.... some never can though... but who are we to judge really? Let them be who they are... so what if someone doesn't pass HS or drops out... it's their own choice, they'll deal with it later in life when it bites them in the a$$... but we have no right to judge what kind of person they are

Family too support? Get a job. A job after school.

sometimes a PART-TIME job isn't enough to support a family. and if you had a child, who would take care of him/her while you were at school?? really, if you only had a part-time job that probably wouldn't be enough to pay for a daycare AND your basic needs. so sometimes, you HAVE to drop out of school.

you know it's pretty jackass-like calling people who aren't as good in math "stupid people"
people drop out of high school for different reasons other than education..
like let's say..they got pregnant and they can't handle school and take care of a kid
im not saying its okay to drop out of high school
but you have a pretty close-minded point of view
_dry.gif

Again, if you started a family without thinking ahead, a pretty stupid movement.

^EXACTLY. They're too busy trying to handle things, and they need more than just a part-time job to support their whole family.

That's not stupid, that's just not using your head, so it does NOT make them stupid.

Um, not using your head is pretty stupid. If you take action without thinking about the consequences, pretty dumb. Especially when you are a teenager and you have unsafe sex.

having sex is just... well, you're naiive... you think you wont get pregnant... or you just straight out don't think about the consequences... then when you realize you may be pregnant.. you're scared as helll and regret ever having unprotected sex... but there's no turning back just because you were naiive...

i don't find someone who has unprotected sex stupid... i find them to just be naiive... but they're kids, ya know?

if they're stupid, then why not call everyone stupid? we all make mistakes from time to time... we sometimes may not think about the consequences

What are some of those life problems? Examples please. By the way, I am not your hun.

My parents dropped never made it pass middle school and they are NOT STUPID stubborn.gif ...my grandpa didn't have enough money to pay for my mom's education so she had to drop out and help him with the factory. My dad's parent ALSO didn't have enough money to support him he had to drop out and help his dad at the bakery. They may be stupid in school stuff, but they have skills. Like my dad, he knows how to make moon cakes, cakes, cookies, etc. And my mom knows how to weave and make towels. So don't go calling High shcool drop outs stupid.
