The race for the best Handheld will start next year, but who will succeed? Nintendo will come up with it's new Dual-Screen system. Nintendo has ruled the Handheld industry. But, Sony is challenging. Sony is coming up with it's PSP. Sony has reputaion for the widest selection of games and in quality. I personally think PSP will succeed. Which one do YOU think?

It's really hard to predict as of now...both systems look very hot. Sony always have the great advertising skills and has been successful since it started in the gaming industry. Nintendo has the creativity, and years of experience in the handheld world. I think it's gonna come down to the prices, so I say DS has a better shot to win.

EGM recently had this comparison in their magazine. The staff voted 5 to 3 in favor of PSP. But the DS will be cool with Wi-Fi and a touch screen and it'll only be about half the price of PSP. But PSP can play movies and music which *gasp* must be bought directly from Sony, who woulda thunk. Anyways, it's still WAY too early to tell. But by looking at screen shots, both look very good, well graphics wise, I think a lot more chicks and gadget guys would like the PSP, so much sleeker and sexier.

Price - DS wins
Games - Close, but Im gonna go for DS Overall Purpose - DS wins with the gamer in mind, while the PSP is very media driven Battery Life - DS wins Innovations - DS wins Most Loyal Fan - DS wins It all comes down to the fans, and I think more will side with the juggernaut that is Nintendo. That and the price, I mean common, whos gonna buy a 300$ portable DVD player when you can have a 100-150$ game device, communication device, and overall a fun game experience? |

Yeah, I read that issue, too...For a portable, the DS is WAY too uncomfortable; it is really big and not exactly the ultimate definiton of a "handheld". But, on the other hand, PSP is one thing: Expensive. The price is going to be a big problem for them, unless they decide to give it a big first-week price drop or something. It's definetely not like PS2 against GameCube, because Nintendo has a good chance of winning, unless PSP gets something like...handheld Online Compatability?[I wish] |

I think it'll just depend on how people will view the whole "double screen" concept...not everyone's gonna like it, and will either just stick with the SP or go with the PSP
