Ok, lets see if I can say this clearly.

Black folks were stripped from Africa long long ago against their will and were forced into slavery for many years. Slavery was eventually abolished but it doesn't change that most black folks in America don't really have a good sense of identity. They don't know what country their ancestors are from, heck, they don't even have their real last name. They don't know their nationality except that they are black. As far as many black folks in America are concerned, the ancestors that they know about only go as far back as those who were enslaved.

Black folks are still suffering...

Sure it's easy to tell them to just forgive and forget, but how can they forget when they are reminded everyday because they don't know as good sense of an identity as most everyone else.

I'm not saying its okay for black folks to be racist and get mad when white folks are. I just noticed that people in this thread keep saying "well, no one in this generation was a part of that so get over it"... i'm sure they're over it... but it doesn't mean that it doesn't affect black folks today.
