i'm taking this year and it was my first day of school and it seemed pretty cool...

my computer science teacher is actually pretty cool and makes it fun in a way..... we did our first program today... and we had a fire drill at the same time and we still time to spare... its gonna be a good year.

That's awesome! Computer science, as a field, though, is a lot more than just programming; in fact, programming is only really a small part of the computer science field.

Right now I'm taking AP Computer Science A. They don't offer Computer Science AB here in my school. But yea.. java is fun. I love programming. But it get boring at times .

Indeed, equals() can only compare objects—although in Java 5.0, an int might automatically be upgraded to an Integer object in cases such as this, so that might be legal. I can't remember for sure, though.

Of course, final is still illegally capitalized. But that's okay, it still pretty much works.

you should take it. i took comp sci, honors comp sci, ap comp sci a and ap comp sci ab; it gets confusing at first but then you start to understand it. they offer a very rediculously easy AP exam for it, i think 90% of our class received a 5. nothing better than easy credit.

though you really need to be prone to catching your own errors, and possess patience. otherwise you won't go very far.

we're required to do pascal before Java/C++, then we take the AP class then ap test. If we pass we take Advanced class - college level I think.


I did pascal freshmen year, i'm taking Java/C++ this year. I hated Pascal though
