^ Yeah, different phone models with different carriers can only accept certain ringtones and downloaded files. Do you use polyphonic or monophonic ringtones?

ugh...i'm a bit confuzzled with all the 'technological' terms...but i have a cingular phone. Model SGH-X427. Does that help?

Iono if they're free, but sites like mtv.com and vh1.com have them under the artist you choose. |

with t-mobile... you could download them right on your phone!!! but since you have cingular... maybe you should check their website?
