well 1 age different doesnt usually matter,but if ur younger than the person,you would probally have to be good lookin for him not to care about the age difference o_O

I think he just told your friend that because he didn't want to offend her on other subjects.
Try to be friends first. If you already are, then wait a bit of a while before asking him out.

like other ppo said, he might have told your friend that he won't go out with younger girls because he didn't want her to feel bad. i don't think that a 1yr. age difference is bad. just be friends with him first, and who knows? maybe you could change his mind.

aww... hey girlie, i went out with a guy exactly 1 year younger than me... he was in the 6th grade and i was in the 7th.. his friends laughed at me and talked crap about me just cuz of that
 stupid 6th graders... (the ones who did that)anyways lol... age doesnt matter (at least i dont think so).. i would go for it.. i had a big crush on my neighbor for yearssss and he found out lol.. he didnt talk to me bout it.. hmm if i was in ur age yea i wud go for it and tell him the truth. he'll miss out if he backs away
