you should not recive compensation for slavery. you were never a slave. in fact, slavery has probably helped you.

your ancesters were taken here against their will. thus, you were born and raised here. if slavery never existed, then you would have been born in africa. you must admit, you do benifit from being in the US.

compensation... i have not seen any compensation for the chinese exclution act. the compensation for the japanese 'internment' (the american concentration camps) was about 20,000 per person. years later.

I agree with the very first post, that's its messed up that black people can make fun of white people but not the other way around. I am not by any means racist, but I can't help but stereotype because of experience. It pisses me off when a group of black people will walk around being soooo loud and obnoxious. Not to mention, when african slavery was brought to america by the spaniards who bought their shipment mostly from african tribal leaders, poor Irishmen were working along side them as indentured servants, who werent given what they were promised. Slaves were owned by rich southerners who by definition dont read well. Reading and storytellin back then were the only 2 ways to gain knowledge.

I have noticed such racial slurs are very one sided. Everyone makes a big deal about the "n" word. No one(by no one i mean majority/as a whole) really cares about other racials slurs. See we even make it a big deal to say the "n" word by not spelling it out, as i have seen in some people's posts. What about the "c" word? Like Chink or cracker. Or the "w" word like Wetback? The "n" word is bleeped out but Chink, wetback, and cracker are not.
