Age cannot determine an "appropriate" time for marriage. For example, If two people are 18 and both partners feel the time is right, they can get married right then and there for all I care. It's not for us to say.

QUOTE(maia_dc @ Jul 31 2004, 1:10 PM)
I would say 22-26... Because you've finished college and got a good education under your belt... It's easier on your body to have kids when you're younger... And you have your life out there for you and your man.

I think 23+ but if people are financially stable at 18 then I say go for it...but most 18 year olds are immature and not financially stable... One of the most common reasons for divorce is ireconcilible differences (sp?)... in other words fighting and the most common reason married couples fight is money..I plan to be able to support my self andI would hope my husband could support me...Love is Love you can't rush it and you can't fight it..

i didnt pick an age because i dont think you can just lable marrige. it should happen when ever you find the person tou truely love and want to be with forever, not when you turn a certain age.

I'm thinking round 25? 26? After you get out of college and have a good job down, so that way if you guys have kids (expected and unexpected) you guys would be ready.

I'd have to say between 22-26. Maybe after grad school, or even college, when you got a stable job and you aren't worrying about whether or not you can eat tomorrow . . . if anything, you determine when you wanna get married, when you know you're ready to settle down and whatnot.

i also picked the age range of 22-26 to get married, because 1.) you're out of college and hopefully have a stable job to support yourself independently, and 2.) seems like the right time for me to settle down and start a family. That way you won't be too old to play with your kids or something. and you won't be too young to appreciate the commitment you make when you get married.

26+....26-....during those years, you have explore life. Learn what's good for you and what's not. Once you've found what fits you, stick with it, and you won't regret it.

I don't really think you can say "People should only get married after they're 22...." or whatever. Marriage really shouldn't be a matter of the head so much as a matter of the heart. I mean, yes, there are somethings that you do have to plan for and around, but if it all feels right, why not? 18, 25, 87. It's all just a number...

i don't really think there is a perfect age to get married.. you'll get married when you're ready right? No sense in rushing things.
And yeah I do have my future planned out. lol. It's kinda creepy actually. Eh I got bored one night and I couldn't sleep. lol. It's prolly not gonna end up that way but hey, it's still fun to think about that kinda stuff I guess. Right? rolleyes.gif Maybe it's just me?
