Making Website, how do you start?

My dad wants me to make a website for the family tree (piontless in my opinion _dry.gif ) ...im really lost and don't know how/where to start. I heard you can sign up for free sites and stuff...which one is the best? Cuz my dad wants to upload A LOT of pictures. Thanks in advance.

well my first site was at virtue.nu it had a lot of pop up so uhhh check out the big book of resources

What you could do though, is upload the pics to an imagehosting site (photobucket or imageshack), then direct link

yay! i started with Goecities. Now i want to add music to my site, but i can only use Midis files, how do i change MP3 songs to midis?

if an mp3 file could be put into midi and serve the same, ther would be no point in putting it into mp3 except to waste space.
do wat i do: sign up for shaw webspace
