Age Limit?

I like a 17 year old and he likes me. (14 by the way.) But he says the age difference is bad because its "like rape." Wtf? Is it bad to go out with a guy 3 years older than you?

but, your still kinda young, so like when he graduates and goes to collage, you wont see him no more cause you still got like 2 or 3 more years of hs... wink.gif

yeah im 14 too and my bf is 17. absolutely nothing wrong with it. the guy you like is too paranoid about that rule of "stageotry rape". tell him to chill.seriously. but if he's one of those guys who just wanna get in your pannies then SCREW THAT!

I'm 15... and my most recent ex was 19 (he still likes me though >.<)m and my current bf is 17... I see nothing wrong as long as ya keep things clean.

Where I live, people with a three-year age difference having sex, even if it's consentual (sp?) is considered statutory rape if the girl is a minor. Just dating, however is ok.

he seems to care too much about what peopel think. do you liek him of his looks? or his personality? age difference doesnt matter, its all on how well you guys get along and the maturity. like a 10 year old isnt really mature.. and a 15 year old would be too mature or seomthing.. dont you think? I don't see a problem in a 14yr. old dating a 17yr. old... It's only rape if you guys have sex or something (because you aren't 18 yet), but dating is fine.

hmm.. id say age doesnt matter... im going out with a person 4 years older then me.. the thing is, while a lot of people are against me for being in that type of relationship; id say this: "age doesnt matter... its experience and maturity. while our world bases a lot of things by age; there are still the few, that see through that and disobey that perspective depending on their situation.. they find relationships with a person that cant be broken by space from eachother.. or be effected negitively by an issue involved with time." .. so yea... just be sure you stay out of serious trouble.

the fact that it's 3 years apart isn't a big deal... but since u both are young then it does seem like a big difference. Like if it was a 20 yr old and a 23 yr old, no one would even pay that any attention. It's not considered "rape" until he turns 18... which isn't too far away.
