I am so f**king sick of this emo/punk trend, as is every f**king trend that comes along. Especially on radio and MTV, nearly every material out there sounded boring, manufactured, pretentious, and completely overrated. I would take bands as Good Charlotte, Sum 41, Simple Plan, Godsmack, Staind, AFI, etc. as a joke. It is just as annoying as these middle school kiddies dressing all in black, studded belts, black and white checkers, heavy eyeliner, crazy haircuts, Converse with band lyrics written on them, and acting like a tough punk-ass and rebel against everything their parents do.

God I hope Avril Lavigne would break her vocal chords and every band out there to stop making shit. Okay, I'm off of this soapbox now.

LoL u sound like my b/f he hates the manufacutered ppl cos it makes it harder for real artist to rise up and claim wut they diserve.... cos ppl like avril are just famous cos they actually follow wut their label tells them they should sound like, should look like... should act like... instead of staying true themselves...

I'm more into the Alternative/R&B/Bluegrass/Instrumental hybrid scene.

For pseudo-intellectuals like myself who enjoy acoustic guitar and soul music at the same time happy.gif .

Emo is like:
Rites of Spring
Sunny Day Real Estate

It's not slow at all, matter of fact
Emo is fast and hard like punk, only with Emotional Lyrics
Dashboard and taking back sunday are just slow, sad bands.
Go listen to Rites of Spring if you wan't real emo.
