Wow, my first thread =D
Well, it has come to my attention that a lot of you young(er) girls have several questions about your period? I was wondering if you guys and girls ever had a sex ed class as young as in the 5th grade? I was one of the fortunate kids in a urban city to have sex ed in the 5th grade. It really helped out a lot. In high school, we were also required to take it in our sophomore year as part of the requirement that each kid in my school needs to graduate. Funny how they get us like that  So...when did you have sex ed? Or did you never take that class? |

Haha, the first time I read the poll I thought it was like, "did you have sex before experiencing puberty?" I was like, "woah..." But...
Yeah, I had Sex Ed. (K.Y.B.; Know Your Body) in 5th grade. It was a nightmare. We had the most immature boys you could ever imagine, who were complete jerks. And, guess what? They didn't separate the different sexes. Oh joy! And all we learned about was girl stuff , so it was like, "separate girls and boys, please!" Unfortunatly boys and girls together, learned about periods, STD, aides, growing breasts, bras, growing hips, etc. Mostly girl stuff, anyway. Ugh, that was the class everybody dreaded... -_- But now all the perverted guys are like, "when are we gonna have Sex Ed. again? That class was mad educational, yo." Wow, looks like the guys haven't changed much... >_< |

actually, in 5th grade, we had the 'growing up program' for 3 days.. about an hour each day. there we learned reg. stuff.. we talked about everything, but didnt go in dept. then in 6th, we had a whole marking perioid of health, instead of phys. ed. and one week was assigned to 'growing up program'. (sex ed) there we learned the same thing but expanded a bit more. I think 5th grade was a good place to start.

I had one in the 5th grade, but I wasn't allowed to. I never had sex ed, so I had my period before. It was no biggie, 'cause my mom told me about it and yeah of course my friends.

yes i had sex ed in the 5th grade... it was a small class. cause i think the other kids' parents wouldn't let them go. hehe. but the funny thing was the guy that i had the biggest crush on (yes i was only in 5th grade but whatever) sat right behind me every class we had. haha.

at my school we had it in 4th grade...they split up the girls and the boys and taught in different classrooms. then in 5th grade we had a 3-week teaching of it and every wednesday and thursday or something like that the nurse would come in and teach us about it. the first week was the female and male side..the 2nd week was sex, and the third was diseases. the worst weeks of my life

well i had sex ed but not in great depth last year, and i'm gunna have sex ed nex year. =\
n i didnt experience puberty yet, but i have acnes.

i had my first sex ed in 5th grade. but i think its too early for kids. becuz iono maybe its just me but me and my friend didnt even watch it or care so we just sat there and play thumbwar. so iono. they should start showing in 6th grade. its funny though cuz the girl's classroom is across the boy's class room and right after the thing ends we came out of the room and just stared at each other. me and my friend started laughing but some were like ew... hahahaha it was so funny
