i'm actually roman catholic, i think... but i never go to church because it creeps me out. there's all these rules and stuff and responsibility.. it's more fun staying at home on createblog than having to go to church. the one good thing about church>> the bread and the wine.. yumyum |

well, this thread is more about reasons to convert.
but, i agree, most of the reasons rely upon belif in god, which would then borrow arguments from the god topic. but i think it is fun. |

oh my god no, why in the world would you want erase so much history?> I agree that religion sometimes seems (okay almost all the time) stupid. But think of all that history and culture? Religion is a big part in everyone's life i you think so or not it is. It's like heritage.

But then again this is a debate forum. Damnit.

People should definitely convert into Christians. But forget the word because just throwing around the title of being "Christian" will not get you into heaven. You must be honest with yourself and God/Jesus or you may still end up in hell. I know it's rash but it's true. oh i belive there is a hell. but it's MY religions hell, and people don't go there just because they aren't buddhist. they go there for being bad.
and is that why you belive? becuase you are afraid of hell? i'm not, becuase if i go there i deserve it and will get out after i've done my time. |

no, that's not why I believe. I believe what Jesus suffered for us, that's the least I can do (have faith)...... and yes, we need faith to believe what Jesus did for us but if there's even a chance he took what he did for us, then I'ma have that faith
and all of us are bad... all of us are sinners... Jesus took all the world's sins with 'em when he got beatin' and killed BECAUSE he was perfect/sinless and he got punished as the worst human being that ever existed would receive. so we are all sinners... the reason we go to heaven is because Jesus took the sins with 'em so all we have to do is give 'em your life..... I'm not gonna say I live just for Jesus cuz we're still human. But I have at least done it with word.... the action part I'm tryin'.... but whateva PayCe ~1~ |

haha. yea, in history class, i got mad that the history of christianity had 2 chapters and the rest of the religions only had subsections and were labeled 'minor religions'.
so the class would say, jesus loves you. that one shut them up nicely. |
