Okie dokie. Well, lets see here. I started at about age 12 because I was always interested in doing anything related to webdesign because it always called my name. hahaha I think the most helpful thing I could have ever done was to rip other people's sites, as embarassing as it sounds, i did it :D. In ripping other peoples stuff I learned where I put stuff and how other people with nice looking site's did what they did. I did that for maybe a 2 months and was getting awesome at ripping and editing. So then I decided enough is enough, I need to apply what I know and find some sites. I think the most helpful thing was looking up "basic webdesign" in google or somethin and then there was this site called, "Funky Chickens" at http://www.funky-chickens.com. This site is amazing, it literally shows every aspect of anything "cool" you can do, and places them in nice categories too. And so I continued doing that and then began to get into Photoshop, which I finally discovered was the program to use! Once I got to know all the features I was on my way. I'm 16 now, and have been doing webdesign for like 4 years now, and have made a lot of money in the process. It's definately worth your time to learn. Once again, hope this post helped. cool.gif That's right haha

I don't usually talk so ... mature. lol buh bye

i learned HTML myself...pretty easy, and since i had a great interest towards the language, it was a cinch. my resources? other people's source code :P

Macromedia Flash, on the other hand, wasn't easy and it took me at least six months to get the basics and another year to master actionscript (scripts for flash)...and it was STRESSFUL like no other since there is no "source code" to rip off of or anything like that.

but hey, it all pays off. resources, for me, are simply other people's work in that particular area :D

I started at 15. Just a few months ago.

I started out by examining other layout codes and looking at people's codes. I got the idea of it from there.

Then I started going to sites like lisa and funky-chicken.

i started on the basics when i was 13. my graphics and codes were inspired by others and i learned how to create my own style. i've looked at tutorials and other graphic sites to help me improve. took me 3 months to get the hang of making codes and layouts. 2 years later to get to the level i am now. u can see in my new site

it takes a lot of time. look at tutorial sites and stuff, and start out with the basics.
