I tried going to view and then source and it doesnt work.... i went to my friends xanga and i did that and it worked.... but after a couple of minutes it just shut out.... can someone tell me y?

you probably have a virus that took over notepad. i had that once, it replaced it with a fake notepad that re-downloaded the virus everytime i opened it to edit some code of something...

goto ur internet options, and click programs. then change notepad to wordpad where it says HTML editor:

thanks 2 nekked but my html editor was set for Microsft Frontpage not notepad anyway and i dont have wordpad as one of the choices (theres only those two) and i just switched it to notepad and it makes no difference

i had the same problem. i thought it might be a problem with notepad too but my notepad worked fine. i checked on some microsoft page or something [lol yes i'm weird] and it said:

in your internet explorer go to tools > internet options and make sure you're on the GENERAL tab. then where it says TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES [the second box thing i think] click DELETE FILES...

it might take a while to delete ALL of them i guess but once i did that view source worked for me again. hope that helped?
