how do i start from scratch and put picture over picture using adobe

Create a new layer and paste the picture onto the new layer (wait.. I think it automatically creates a new layer when you paste it..)

Have you tried it yet?

EDIT:// You do mean Adobe Photoshop, right? not Illustrator or something..

no .. but i kinda wanna start with white... and then add pictures from there.. thats still called layering?

And well try it.. it should still work.. I assume you're copying/pasting your pics from elsewhere.. right?

could you show me how exactly i would do that?.. to sart from a new blank white sheet and adding pictures to it?.. i have pictures on my desktop already

!???? I HAVE BEEN COPY AND PASTING AND THERS A SHORTED WAY!!!!???? geez, i didnt even knwo...

Ok..
So you have your blank sheet..

Just open up the picture you want to add.. either Control + A to select the whole thing or use the selection tool to select a portion.. copy and paste it onto your blank sheet

It should be created in a new layer

Then repeate with a different image which should appear on a layer above the previous one..

will the top be transparent so u can still see the bottom image?

Well you can adjust the opacity to make the top semi transparent if you like.. sometimes you want it to cover up though.. it depends
