man, documentary my @$$. all he did was enlarge all the things that made Bush look a little stupid. and if you think about it, bush has done a lot of good things for our country than bad. think about the long term effects of everything hes done.

Long-term effects:

- Biggest expansion of government since FDR
- Made the Mid East hate us more than they already do
- Destablized the government of Saudi Arabia
- Caused a huge budget deficit, that people like me will end up having to pay very high taxes for
- Enlarged social spending more than any other president in history, leading to a bankrupt government, and taxpayers footing the bill
- PATRIOT Act, precedence of which will cause the most harm to America since FDR's "I wanna be Mussolini too" Executive Orders.
- Trying to rewrite history to make himself look like Ronald Reagan, when in fact, he is nothing like Reagan.

Bush has done far more harm to the country than good. Can you name ONE positive campaign promise he made in 2000 that he kept (besides immigration)? The answer is a clear and resolute 'no'.

I notice most of your comments all have some kind of profanity in them.. its good that you have such strong opinions, but please refrain from using that kind of language if you can

Thank YOU for saying "budget deficit" instead of debt. You're one of the first to make that distinction.

What do you suppose, would have been their right course of action?

Um... Bush should've followed his campaign promises... Honesty is always good:

- A "more humble foreign policy" -- his own words
- A balanced budget
- Ending Clinton-era civil liberties abuses
- Lowering government spending
- 4 more years of Reagan

But I was naive in 2000. Should've known better than to think that a Presidnet would actually follow his promises.

How many Presidents in history followed through with their promises? I'm curious (you would have to give me statistics because I'm not very good with those).

Oh, um, you sort of answered for me... but give me some statistics.

I mean, if other Presidents didn't carry out their promises, what makes Bush Jr any differerent?

I thought it was a wonderful movie and truthful. Bush did the wrong thing in taking our troops to war for no reason. Weapons of Mass Destruction . . . give me a break. We should've gotten Bin Laden instead of waging war on Iraq/Saddam. Bush knew that it was Bin Laden all along and but never seemed to do anything about it. Sure he sent a few troops over to Afghanistan but I think it would've been better to send all the troops to Afghanistan and find him. Blood is no price to pay for oil.

Bush Jr. just broke his promises to a much greater extent than most other presidents.

I don't see us getting any more oil than we usually have, do you? And if we do get all those oil... is that a bad thing to you?

But seriously, what did you expected from him? In 2000, I was all for Gore. Not that I thought Gore was going to be a good President, but because I tend to choose the lesser of two evils.

But I'm not going to blame him for all that happened in Iraq and the economy (the latter being the stupidest accusation so far from the general cB public). What's done is done and we can only hope to change things in the upcoming election.

(Of course, I'll still be voting for Bush... but that's another story.)

Michael Moore is like an independent film maker that has made a bunch of films/documentaries and written a couple of books regarding the government. People are mad at him because his latest film 'Fahrenheit 9/11' is showing how the government isn't as good as most people thought it is. He's pushing people's buttons, but I think he is an incredible person for doing so . . .

Does that answer your question?

I supported him over Gore, certainly. I would've perferred Harry Browne though.
