Watching the replay now, and is laughing at all her friends that actually thought we were going to win.

I'm going to take solace in the fact we beat you in Rugby last week.

I was skimming Time's summary of the World Cup teams, and I wanted to say, I'm shocked that North Koreans are playing at all. I don't know if anyone here is aware of the atrocities happening in North Korea, but here's a link for you all to check out. I wish I could say I were kidding about how it really is like a living 1984 over there.

They won't be playing for long though. That isn't the point; it's that I can't believe the NK government will participate in something like this but continue to commit genocide and other human rights violations against North Koreans even as I type. Their government has been corrupt for so long, and it frustrates me even more that there's so little awareness about it. Check out Seoul Train this summer if you want to learn more; I watched a screening at my school when LiNK Nomads came to Ithaca and was shocked that I hadn't known about it earlier. |

You don't know why the Government is participating? It's the same reason every corrupt government tries to participate in the Olympics. They still have pride in their nation. They want to represent their nation. Their brainwashed citizens want to represent their nation. Their brainwashed citizens don't want to disrespect their government. They also want to look civil to the rest of the world. It's a show.

I love the world cup. Not sure whether to go for USA, ENG, or South Africa though. I feel like I'm a part of all of them. Also, what do you guys think about the vuvu- BBBWWWWWWZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

Doesn't bother me. Other games I watch from the Bundesliga, I hear that shit too. It's not new it's just most people don't watch soccer and don't recognize it.
