what are you guys doing for memorial weekend?

i'm not doing shit but relaxing and resting. i started a new job last week working for a landscape architect. i just do labor/construction type stuff from 8 to 5 now. that's right abbey, i'm working with your mexican amigos now. it's hard as shit. it's given me a new appreciation for anyone who does physical labor all day everyday, they don't get enough credit. i'm always completely worn out at the end of the day. also given me a new appreciation for the weekend. i think it would be good if everyone did a labor job at some point and they would realize how good they really have it working in an air conditioned office or being at school. for real. people better stop wanting the mexicans to leave cause you won't wanna do what they do i promise.

i'm about to lay in a pool in about ten minutes and not do anything.

what are you guys doing? bbq? boats? swimming? baseball? nothing? playing checkers? eating fruit salad? tanning for you whiteys?

I hung out my boyfriend yesterday and today; the rest of the weekend, I'm going to finally upload the rest of the photos I took in Virginia and the Outer Banks when I was there last week. Then I'm going shopping with my friends in Manhattan and maybe Queens on Monday (girls' day out!). It will be a lot of fun. :D

A couple of my family members are going to be gone for three months for training (including the brother that I am closest to), and they are leaving on Sunday. So I'm not doing anything for Memorial Day.

What better to way to use a day off than laze around, when you're busy all the other days? :)

Exactly. Time alone spent "just doing whatever" is VERY valuable.

My boyfriend and I had a BBQ today. TONS of food and swimming. Now we're all getting ready to go out to the movies. The girls are seeing Sex & the City 2 and the guys are seeing Robin Hood. Then we are meeting back up at our apartment and just hanging out.
