^idk what you're talking about, i think you're missing their point. it seems like you're trying to justify people's layouts been worse then. but we're talking about people's layouts are actually worse now. what we're getting now sucks more than even a year ago. there isn't two ways to look at it. designers in general now actually have more stuff to work with, but our layout quality is worse. when i first came here there was a bigger number of "good designers". they gave us more quality stuff, and on top of that, they gave us the privileged of higher standards based of the curve they set. we've lost them for a number of reasons, and so the standards have to be lower for us to even have material.
yeah maybe the very first layouts ever on cb sucked if that's what you were talking about beenly, but we're talking about just within the last 2-3 years, the stuff now sucks for the most part. nobody would deny cb was a good layout site in it's day. 2-3 years ago you would be hard pressed to find a layout site of this quality. the standards, quantity, and over all usability of the site were 100 times better than most out there. |

You can't really compare the tastes people had BACK THEN to how they are now.
Pssh, I am GLAD that twitter and facebook aren't so customizable. I prefer it that way because it just makes things more simple for me. No more damn pop ups and freezing myspace/xanga/whatevz pages that take forever to load for some ODD reason... |
