This is a flyer I'm working on for the music fest. I really need some feedback on this. I feel as if the green is too much. I need a different color break it up. Watcha think?

You are definitely right. The green strokes at the bottom is taking up half the page. Do yourself a favor and tone it down a bit.

i think you might want to add something to make it pop a little.
if i glanced by it at a train station or something, i don't think i'd remember it.

I agree with everyone else so far, and I also think that the font should be spaced just a bit or maybe have some kind of shadow because for me, it's a bit hard to read. I think you should use a darker green for the font as well. I'd like to see some sort of object on the bottom though. Maybe something like a paint palette or some people working on their art projects? Heck, maybe just some kind of scenic, watercolor picture could do. Otherwise, nice job.

I agree with everyone but this part especially:

i'm liking the green font but as you said; you need to introduce a different color; try looking for color palettes similar to your colors and start working w/ that? and don't do too much splatter brushess!

I think i'm just going to change the color of the text to something darker. Might even change the font.

Pretty much this. It needs something to make it pop out when people pass by it. A good resource for colour combinations besides Colour Lovers is Color Scheme Designer 3. I think orange would be a really interesting colour to combine the green with.

I feels a bit too empty at the bottom. You should do something with the space there! Is there any relevant information to the event that you could put in :3

The text should really pop out from the background. It's a good font, it's just that the words blend in with the background. Tone down the background, get a wider range of colour, and do some more with the text.

It's grainy and doesn't flow well.
The first one has ALOT of potential, and reminds me of this CD cover.

The second one's design is okay, but the text needs to be cleaned up, esp the top and bottom. The yellow over the text is also a bit distracting.

That being said, the first one isn't necessarily more artistic, but the clean edges appeal to me more.

The effect on the text is part of the look but I'll try to clean it up and see what i get.
That CD cover is pretty pimp! good inspiration.
