Does anyone know a good php script that lets you edit files directly on your server or something similar??? Thanks!!!!

It's very possible, but I don't suggest doing it. It's not very secure.

Well if you use filezilla for ftp, you can set it up so you can right click a file and click edit, then it will open in notepad and you can just hit ctrl+s. And it will save it. and it is secure.

But now I use cyberduck, and it has a edit button that opens it in textwrangler.

Definitely the best choice if you are using windows.

Its just another ftp client but I don't like it and it is definitely not as powerful as filezilla.

Or linux, or OSX, or pretty much any other operating system.

Other than one computer that doesn't even have xorg installed, I use Filezilla on everything.

No, I prefer cyberduck, on mac.
What exactly is xorg for? is it like use management.

It's what allows you to open windows. X11 controls the windows, the window manager allows you to move the windows when you need to.
