"Deleting an index entry in index $0 for file 14325."
"Correcting an error in index $0 for file 14325." Okay...what'd I do wrong. I Googled, but cnet was of no help (and it's pretty much all that came up). |

what is this in? was it just an error? did you do anything? if you want you can system restore but it looks like it corrected itself.
on some of my windows machines i get random error messages all the time. then i just carry on and forget it. |

It didn't fix anything, it just sits at that screen for hours not doing anything or going anywhere. I can't even get into Windows. Tbh I wouldn't be complaining about it but I don't remember my Linux pw. :O

dual boot ehh?
so its an error at startup? just boot into safe mode (f8 at boot) and then do a system restore. or reinstall. I always disable system restore however. but thats cause all the pc's in my house suck so i have to disable stuff so they dont run slow as crap. |

Linux ftw.
Yeah it stops booting before the login screen and just displays the error messages. And doesn't system restore take up like 15% of your hard drive and shit like that? |

Assuming it'll log in without having to system restore, I shall do both of those things.

then get into safe mode, back up your files, system restore, and put them back.

If you have your windows partition mounted in linux (example: I've got my windows partition mounted to /winblows, only drawback is you have to use fat32 instead of ntfs), you can move the files you need to the other partition before you do a system restore)

But idk how to get to a system restore, 'cause I can't get into any version of Windows. All I can get to is Linux atm.

If you can't do a system restore, you may have to reinstall. Of course that would f*ck up GRUB (or lilo, whatever bootloader you happen to ues), and you would have to reinstall Linux too (which isn't an issue if you did your partitioning well).

But if I could find the installation disc, I could also find the recovery disc. Point is, I don't have anything. And Linux isn't staying connected to the internet anymore wheee it's slower than dial up...T-T If I don't come back...I smashed my computer 'cause it was going useless anyway. |
