anyone into Bossanova ? know any main and specific artists that are playing right now ...im really getting used to the chillout ambient lounge music ....all i can think of whose close is either Sitti ....a filipino singer whos strictly sings bossanova. Mishka Adams....and Seu Jorge a brazilian musician who is in the soundtrack in the movie "the Lifes aquatic" .

anyways ....heres a music video of sitti (para sa akin) :" its for me " in you ube so you could figure out my taste . you dont have to worry about the lyrics just listen to the music and her = )

This belongs in entertainment.

I miss playing "Soul Bossa Nova." It was fun as a stands tune freshman year. Other than that, no.

YAYYYYY. Finally, a topic about Bossa Nova. I adore it.

Moved to Entertainment.

edit: I found a Bossa Nova website that has music, biographies, artists, etc. You can even listen to some Bossa Nova stuff on there. In terms of artists, I adore Antonio Carlos Jobim, Joao & Astrud Gilberto, Stan Getz...the greats, really. :P But bossa nova is so painfully underrated in my opinion. More people should actually get into it and not just pass it off as elevator music.

The Gilbertos' are fantastic. I like Stan Getz (his Latin influenced work) and Sérgio Mendes as well.
