You call that luck? I can easily go on yahoo answers right now and find tons of stupid questions. Matter of fact, I can't tell who serious, and who is actually trolling. It's still hilarious though.

I cant take it anymore. I wanna slap every person on there.
It seems like every other answer about pc's and macs is either, "macs suck balls" or "dont get a pc! they get viruss super easy! they do things slower and such!" and when people ask questions about the macs there is always one person saying "DONT GET THE MACBOOK AIR! it doesnt even have a disc drive or usb holes! What was apple thinking! you need a disc slot thing for movies and discs and stuff."

You know, you can actually write software to turn your computer on at a predetermined time. Just sayin'.

Yeah -- it's possible to start a computer up from a powered-off state via software.

I just dont see how it is possible for the software to tell the hardware to do anything if it, off.

A lot of motherboards' BIOSes have a sort of "alarm clock" that can be triggered to tell the computer to turn itself on. A lot of BIOSes and networking cards also have a wake-on-LAN feature that allows other computers on a network to wake a computer up with a specially-crafted packet.
