For one, please don't double post. Just use the edit button. Two, the font is just all wrong. I would change the font. And if you want the scroll to look authentic, change the font on the scroll to a dark brown and set that layer to Multiply, that way some of the texture of the paper will appear on the script.

Somehow, the hand doesn't look like it's coming from behind the parchment. There's no shadow on the paper from the hand.

Yeah, now that I take a look at it more, Gabrielle is right and uh, the white shading around the hand on the parchment..that really doesn't look right.

Besides the text on the parchment, I think the biggest issue is the hand. It's not so much a lack of shadow on the paper as it is a lack of shadows and highlights on the hand itself. The ball it's holding looks like it'd be giving off one hell of a glow, so the skin closest to the ball should be much brighter than the skin on the back of the fingers. You may even want to distort the tips of the fingers a very small bit to give the impression that it's holding the ball (try holding a ball in your own hand; the contact areas of your skin will squish a little).

The side facing the ball looks fine, so you just need to lightly burn the back of the hand. For squishing the skin, try using the liquify tool (if you're using Photoshop), very gently. After that, add in some shadows around where you distorted to give it some dimension so it doesn't just look like you sliced off some skin.

I think the angle is right but I dk, I can't point out what's weird about the shadow itself :/

^ It's the tips of the fingers. They have highlights but in the direction they're facing, there's no light source to give them a highlight in that spot.

I updated this again with some blood/scratches that the client requested, what do you guys think >? . . let me know also hes requesting a text that appears burned into the paper . . anybody got nay tutorials lol

There's still something about the hand that seems fake. It seems kinda plump and healthy looking despite all the blood that's supposed to be coming off of it. I don't know. The blood seems kind... pasted on.

i can understand constructive criticism, but when all she does is come in here and tell me how bad the design looks and leaves with out leaving any advice on how 2 fix its just disrespectful. If you going to critique my work at least give advice on how 2 fix things
