Director John Hughes dies of heart attack, age 59, Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, etc... Options

LOS ANGELES, Aug 6 (Reuters) - Film writer and director John Hughes, whose credits include "The Breakfast Club" and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," has died of a heart attack at age 59, his spokesman said on Thursday.

Hughes died suddenly while taking a morning walk in New York City, according to a statement from his spokesman. (Reporting by Dean Goodman, Editing by Bob Tourtellotte)

Between this and Michael Jackson's death, two very iconic 80's figure, it seems like a huge end of a very fun, albeit sometimes silly era. I grew up in the 80's and watched Hughes films often. It's a guilty pleasure at this time of my life, but it really makes me nostalgic.
