Um yes I do. I used the reference of the "reverse racist" mentality some African American community tends to unabashedly show.

Spike Lee is a famous example of people who jump to attack people for trying to make a statement but because of the color of their skin its "deemed" racist.

but i just know that someone will come running into this topic telling me "hes not racist" or my favorite one "He's an artist".

i don't agree with the video. i think there are two extremes. there are those black people who think everything in the world is someone else's fault and throw the race card unnecessarily. then i think there are those, like the guy in the video, who think every single thing black people encounter is their own fault and that no one should ever bring up anything racial. there are a ton of things that are racial and i think it's stupid to pretend like race has nothing to do with anything or it has nothing to do with how things are for certain communities.

for example take how he's saying that most black men are in jail and it has "nothing to do with white folk or slavery." i completely disagree. why are there such a disproportional number of black men in jail? there has to be some sort of reason unless his argument is just than we are inherently born more criminal than white men. so then what could the reason be...common sense would probably tell you that it's not surprising that those most likely to go to jail are those communities which are the poorest. ok then why is the black community more poor. it's not that hard to see that there are a billion reasons historically the black community has had a harder time getting out of poverty. anyone who has any clue about poverty should see that anyone of any race has a hard time getting out of a cycle like that.


so i don't agree with him. he's saying shit that i think is easy to say when your own personal situation is good at the moment. it doesn't mean that some stuff he says doesn't' apply to some people, but i still don't agree with him. i suppose he would say i have a chip on my shoulder, but if i do then i think there are some decent reasons why. i'd rather be in the middle than saying it's all either sides fault.
