maybe he's more inclined to not introduce you guys until he's 100% sure this is a girl he wants to commit to. i believe the impetus to keep the two of you hidden from each other is perhaps even strengthened by his latest experience with the toxic ex and her effect on the family. girlfriends you aren't serious about aren't worth introducing to family.
