Equanimity Options

Ok, so I was designing some new stuff and came up with this. It's not really much, a little plain, but I want that nice, subtle look to it. I tried not have so much black/white/gray in it but I didn't really want to overwhelm it with color. I actually think it looks pretty cool, but I feel like I want to add something, unless you peeps think otherwise. The text that is there was designed on there but I won't use it for the actual coding of the layout, they're just fillers.

UPDATE: (Changed and lowered the opacity of the gradient on the title. Switched navigation and basic info around and adjusted size of dates. New swirls behind the title created with the Pen Tool.)

Just a little thing to mention, the color for the hover of anchor links will be around #6b70b3 and the navigation link's hovers will have a background color show up that is the same color as it's little border to the left.

haha, thanks. But keep in mind, they're just fillers. I could be using a different font when I code it for all you know.

I like the colors. They look great together, imo. I'm just not sure about the font effects you used for "equanimity."

what do you think? Should I remove those little swirls in the back of it or lower the opacity of the gradient?

Oh wow I didn't even notice the swirls lol. I dk. Tbh it's the colors. Like how they were blended. They look a bit dark compared to the colors in the actual layout. Maybe lowering it's opacity would help.

not a fan of how big the date font is. seems unnecessarily large and on top of that, depending on how long the paragraph heading is, it makes for awkward arrangement.


this is personal preference for me but, i like basic info switched with navigation. that way no matter how long someone wants to make their basic info section the navigation is always on visible and easily accessible up top.

I think there's too much of a gap between eq--- and the content. I also think the colors are just...well..gross. I think this would look really slick with just clean grey/white and then a punch of color like red via the text. And pretty much what JC said too...I completely agree.

Alright. I'll edit it later some. I'll move the stuff up some more and see how it would look like without all the colors. But should I just leave the red or can I keep the other colors too?
