Wow my dad has all three of his main albums on record; Off the walls, Thriller, and Bad. Can you imagine how much they're worth now? I'm thinking about selling them on Ebay and see how much we can get. If i were you id wait like 10, maybe even up to 30 years before I'd sell them. |

im usually quick to throw jokes, but when you actually just watch some of the things they air on mtv now about michael, from his videos to his concerts. you realize what an icon this man was to music as well as society....he was probably THE icon for music and symbolized a major stone in the progression of entertainment and expression in our society. sometimes we forget that this guy pretty much symbolized an era. more so than most musicians and bands...hell i'll go as far to say that nobody changed things as much as he did.

Can you imagine what would happen if Madonna or Paul suddenly died? I think the universe would cease to exist. Can't say the same for Paul. But I grew up listening to Madonna and Michael Jackson. If Madonna passes its the end. Yesterday Twitter pretty much crashed, and rumors were going around of both Harrison ford and Jeff Goldblum died dying as well, total lie. spoof story for Goldblum can be found here its crazy. |

My dad has all sorts of MJ on vinyl and I'm definitely not selling it. I need to dig The Wiz soundtrack out and blast it at full volume. That and Off the Wall.

So what? It's like how Universal is cutting out the MJ jokes from the Bruno movie because they're afraid that it's in bad taste... except the reason the movie is funny to begin with is because the entire thing is in bad taste. I'm a big fan of Michael Jackson myself, but it's just too much fun seeing the reactions of some people. |

QUOTE “ People don’t get upset when they talk about Michael Jackson dying; they get upset when they talk about how much a part of their life he was. I mean, what are the ’80s? A Rubik’s Cube, 3-D glasses and Michael Jackson. And that’s the giant cornerstone that’s gone. He’s one of the few crossover artists that would make even the most radical white supremacists say, “Well, he’s not black — he’s Michael Jackson.” He’s not black, he’s Barack Obama. He’s not black, he’s Jimi Hendrix. He’s not black, he’s Tiger Woods. As a musician, the man was one of the purest substances ever in music. But it’s frustrating, and somewhat pointless, to ever try and figure out how Michael Jackson arrived at an album like Thriller and how you could arrive at something like it. It’s impossible. I mean, it’s one of those things you actually don’t want to bring up to musicians. They don’t want to remember that that kind of greatness is achievable because it skews the bell curve completely. Michael Jackson proves, in a really sort of perverse way, that maybe we’re not as offended by behavior as we are entranced by music. And think about that. Think about what level of quality you must have to attain to have somebody say, “I know that you’re accused of having molested children, but I can’t hate you for that as much as I love you for your music.” I’m not saying that’s right or wrong; I’m saying that it’s fascinating. That somebody could be that great. That somebody could have that much of a marriage with your emotions just through music. There’s just one Michael Jackson now. We don’t have to reconcile the Michael Jackson we love with another Michael Jackson. In a way, he has returned to pristine condition in death. We can be free now for the rest of our lives to love the Michael Jackson we used to love. ” — John Mayer on Michael Jackson - TIME Magazine that sums it up exactly for me |

that sums it up exactly for me The thing with Michael is that some people are sure shot that he was a pedophile, but yet there was no physical evidence of sexual contact that most pedos leave behind. At some point, being the pedo ppl accused Mike of being, wouldn't he have left some DNA that would pipoint him as a sure shot molester. I've read the cases that were against him , and they both seem suspect. People always want to use the settlement out of court as a sure shot way of guilt. Truth is, if I was facing a trial, and I was innocent, if I had the money, I would want to get it over with as soon as possible. I don't want to waste my time going through years of legal precedings when I could be playing my PS3 and living the baller lifestyle. Edit// So I would settle even if it means monetary losses. You could also possible save money depending on how long the trial is. |

well traveling with your family and performing ever since you were a child, witnessing your brothers getting laid everyday, living the life of a pop star, never ever having childhood friends can't be good for any child. even with all that psychological harm, dude still created music that transcended his time, like the batman of entertainment
