for real. it would be really awkward if no one made a big deal over this. i mean we're talking about someone who changed dance and music. someone who was a worldwide influence. i'm not like omg so shocked cause someone died and i wasn't aware that people died and haven't accepted this yet i'm shocked cause it's shocking and unexpected. i can't really say i'm one of the people who are "devastated" but it's still pretty crazy.

if people can make a big deal over people like anna nicole smith dying and stuff, then you know, seems understandable to me to make one over this.

Sure everyone dies, but no other artist besides Michael can leave a lasting impression on music the way he did. A hundred years from now do you think more people will pop in a Chris Brown song or an MJ song? Name the hottest artists out right now and he hasn't even accomplished .1 percent of the success MJ had. Thriller sold 109 million albums, the best selling album of all time. What other arists come close to them numbers. What other artists were influenced by Michael? Usher, JT, ............................................................................., etc. This is the biggest death in music history, possibly entertainment.

I'm skipping all of the "don't make a big deal about it because people die every day..." stuff. It's not because I'm unsympathetic to the everyday man. It's because the everyday man didn't give as much joy, influence so many music artists and practically open the door for every successful pop artist out there today. Michael did though, and I'm personally grateful for that. I'm grateful for the memories of so many Halloweens listening to and watching Thriller. I'm grateful for how many times I had fun dancing to the Off the Wall album.

This is humbling, not because it's a "celebrity" or because this is more media fodder. It's humbling because as someone who actually grew up listening to Michael Jackson (and the Jackson 5, for that matter), it makes the world that much smaller.

Well the younger generation ain't going to understand the impact Michael Jackson had in the music industry. Same thing like Elvis Presley. So even though people may have thought he was weird or whatever you may think, you can't deny the influence and achievements he's done in his 50 years of lifetime. Give the man his due.

I was coming back from Japan and i look over up in the T.V and within a few minutes of watching Everything pops up as "Breaking News Mj went to the Hospital"

Then arriving in Detroit i rushed to see that he was now dead

Wow my dad has all three of his main albums on record; Off the walls, Thriller, and Bad. Can you imagine how much they're worth now?

I'm thinking about selling them on Ebay and see how much we can get.
