Agree and wtf 25 a week? Thats basically a pack a day.

Literally a pack a day. Get this, I'd wake up 5AM. Eat breakfast, go to the gym, get out of gym by 7:30AM, head straight to the Kwik Stop, pick up a pack a Newports, smoke a cig on the way home, take a shower. Every time I got in my car, I'd light up a cig, every time I got on my cell phone, I'd walk outside light up a cig, every time I had a break from playing video games, I'd light up a cig... it was literally becoming a part of my life as if I "needed" it. That's exactly how it was for about 4 months straight every single day.

The best way is to keep your mind pre-occupied. If you crave cigs, chew gum and keep telling yourself "no more cigarettes".

The shitty part is in this case, your mind is more powerful than you'll ever know... it'll take you about 2 months to officially be clean from nicotine.

I'm doing a hell of a lot better now. I'm proud of myself. I tried to smoke last night after dinner and I felt sick. That's a good sign. I didn't even get through the entire cigarette before I said, "f*ck it," and went inside my room.

I am like you. A f*cked up smoker. I buy a big packet of fortuna (24 cigarettes) and it's gone in the middle of the day. I smoke a lot a lot a lot. I tried quitting years ago but I can't. It's horrible. I just woke up right now (it's 1 pm over here) and I'm getting dressed to go get my f*gs. I want to stop but I'm always stressed out that I need to smoke. RAH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My 78 year old gramps smokes like there's no tomorrow, and he's healthy and no lung cancer and he's still active enough to dance during senior dance night.

Still smoking as I'm typing. I tried buying cigs that you have to roll yourself (don't know what that's called in English) because I HATE rolling. It helped for a while because I didn't want to roll so I didn't smoke ... actually I did that for a couple of days and stopped. :( I am too stressed.

I smoking a pack of Kool Boosts (Japanese) that I got mailed to me as a birthday gift. They're much lighter than Newports and have more taste than Camel menthols. I smoked a pack the other night at the club, but I didn't wake up feeling like I was going to have a heart attack.

It depends, If I am drinking I can smoke a whole pack in one night. Usually I smoke maybe 1 or 2 a day.

Its from an anime/manga series called FLCL.

QUOTE
The words "Never Knows Best" comes from Mamimi's cigarettes.

The Interview with the Director

Interviewer: "What does 'Never Knows Best' mean? The English on her [Mamimi's] cigarette."
Tsurumaki: "Oh, that? Originally, it was a cigarette on a postcard I have."
Interviewer: "What did it say on the cigarette?"
Tsurumaki: "It was a close-up picture of a cigarette that had 'Join London' on it. And it was probably handwritten, not printed. I thought it looked cool and that I would mimic it. It's not a cigarette brand. There's no such brand in Japan."
Interviewer: "I thought that it might be the title of a song."
Tsurumaki: "Oh, no. I'm not sure if it has a real meaning or not."

QUOTE(fameONE @ Nov 12 2008, 09:40 AM) *
I stay in shape by going to the gym religiously, running in this arid weather, and playing basketball, but I smoke a pack and a half a day. A couple weeks ago, I decided to cut back on smoking to just under a pack a day. I didn't feel any better. In fact, I felt worse. For the first time, I started developing a smoker's cough. It freaked me out so I tried to quit cold turkey. Shortly after, I caught the flu and I was miserable.

Now I'm back to smoking a pack a day and I feel great. What the hell is going on?

I guess that if I could respond to the original post, I would just say that we all seem to slip up during times of depression or the like. I know that I have been having a tough time of it lately, and so I really went out and binged on Saturday night and passed out in front of the book store. I don't even remember how I got home.
