Wow this is so cool, the clouds look awesome, and I love the textures. The colours are great too, I don't really have any constructive critism, because this seems all great to me thumbsup.gif well done

hahahha, he looks like a loser climbing up there.

so cute though. but im kinda confused with the lines and the way the pole is facing, if you get what i mean, some of it would be behind the bar. hmm. i love it. very cute idea.

edit: i guess looking at it a bit more, the pole seems to be fine. it's just a little confusing at first. i still like it though.

Oh yeah good point, its like an optical illusion.. haha now its tripping me out.
Upon looking at this again, why a golf club? Personally I would've used something like an umbrella.

I agree.

Could you please do a screen recording while you're making one of these and put it on youtube? I would love to see how you do it.

Ya the whole perspective is a little confusing. It looks like the lines are making a right angle. Maybe you could give the lines shadows below, or something so people will realize that the lines are going straight.

I freaking love it though!

Y i have asked b4 too. Just make a video tutorial using some screen recording software. Or just make a vector while recording and then speed it up, so we can see what you do. O and you should make a deviantART account.

Thank you everyone for the feedback. Glad you all like it.
As for it's completion... I actually added a girl and rain and lightning bolts to the picture, but I took them all out at the very end. Kinda want to add more to the piece but I've been hitting a creative block these past weeks ever since I finished my playing cards...

I don't think a screen recording would help you guys very much haha. I haven't really found a very efficient work flow yet, and so I make A LOT of mistakes. I would just be leading those who want to learn down the wrong path.

Is there any particular piece someone knows of that they want a tutorial on?

Just a guess, but do you use a mixture of the pen and morph tool? Or do you not even use photoshop? lol

Photoshop doesn't come on until I'm done with it on Illustrator. I suck at Photoshop, all I do on it is to stick the textures on. Everything is pen tool on Illustrator.

emberfly, I'll get on those two soon :] My highschool graduation ceromony's in like 2 hours and tomorrows the party so, over the weekend I promise.

Golfing in a thunderstorm around electric wires. Sounds safe.

I think it looks really cool. Did you use some kind of reference image for the person, or did you just draw it up? 'Cause it looks really good.

umm...any of them! haha! Even a text tutorial. Just explain the tools you use. O i just realized that the wires are going a different way I thought. Kinda deceiving...haha. I think the pole is tilted the wrong way for the perspective to work. The right side should be a little higher.

O and I still want to know what texture you use!

Still rox!

Oh that is so cool. You should sell prints of your work, because I'd totally buy it, haha.

thanks karma and... manny is... is it gabi? no thats schizo... your're natalia. right.
thanks natalia. i wish i could sell my prints, it'd be a nice little side income, but i don't really think they deserve to be bought. plus i haven't found a reliable printer. i'm gonna look for a job at a print shop over the summer, learn some pre-press stuff i guess, but im running on a tangent.

i just downloaded a screen capture software, im too lazy to write :P

^You could sell prints through deviantart. The quality is supposed to be pretty decent, and there isn't any sort of start-up fee. Your only "charge" is the portion of the selling price that goes towards equipment and such, but you're going to get that no matter where you go. Even though you'll only get a few dollars per print, it could start adding up if you get popular. shrug.gif

I don't think I'll get popular with my works looking like that in comparison to those real artists on dA.
