Idk if its because i am Mexican but i was always taught to greet people with a hug and a kiss. My bf seems to be bothered by this becuase he says its kissing alot of guys even if it is just a kiss on the cheek. So my questions are...

1. Is this weird? (some ppl seem to think its a little to affectionate)

2. If it was ur gf or bf would you be mad?

3. Does anyone else do this?

I don't but i'd love to start. Does your boyfriend just find it odd, or is he serious about it. If he is being protective and controlling over you, dump him now.

Hes pretty serious. He acts like a kiss on the cheek is a huge deal.

well I wouldn't mind it, especially since it's customary. Sounds like your bf is a little extreme

i'm italian, so it is customary to kiss someone three times on each cheek as a greeting and goodbye.
i don't think it'd weird at all and my boyfriend doesn't mind as he is french and it is a french custom as well.

Not at all. Tons of people misspell the word "too."

No, but I would seriously question their intelligence.

1. Not weird at all. Well to me, at least. I'm Hispanic too and that's how I greet people.

2. Nope.

3. I do. But I only do it with family or friends. If I'm meeting someone new, I'll shake their hand.

1. Is this weird? No. Customs are customs... and it's quite a common one, too.

2. If it was ur gf or bf would you be mad? No. Though I would be a little confused as to why he would start, but it's not a big deal.

3. Does anyone else do this? I don't. Some friends do.

Oh... Puerto Ricans are typically jealous. Nothin to worry about (even though it's odd.. because even Puerto Ricans give a hug and kiss on the cheek out of respect).

Eh... nothing else. I'm not saying all Boricuas are the same.. but majority, ya, especially the females (and serious Drama Queens). I live in South Florida and this is how it is down here.

1. Well to me, no, because I'm Colombian and it's a custom for me too.

2. Nah, I'd be cool with it. I respect that it's a custom and it's not really a big deal.

3. I do, but with only my family and some of my parent's friends. I just usually say "what's up" to my friends and shake a person's hand when I meet them for the first time.

Mostly, but other countries like Italy and France also do the same thing, as mentioned earlier in this thread.

When did you become the ambassador for black people? I wouldn't have a prob with this at all, just as long as she don't hop in the guy's bed.

I think doing hugs and kisses to a person is just normal without even thinking bad.maybe your bf is a jealous person that's why he wanted only you to do some hugs and kisses.

i always give hugs to everyone. if it was my boyfriend, and girls gave him kisses on the cheek, i wouldn't mind. cause some girls do greet everyone, including girls this way. i think your boyfriend should not mind, because honestly, he gets way more than just a kiss on the cheek. haha
