too well.
my father is a retired jazz musician and took the liberty of taking my boyfriend, a musican also, under his wings.
when they're together, there is no way i'm going to get a word in.

Steven...play nice.

My mom likes the current guy I have an interest in. Which is really something since she hated most of my exes, more specifically my ex fiance the terrible tattoo artist/guitarist who is responsible for me not wanting to see another artist/musician again.

YOU MEAN THE WORTHLESS CAREER ONE?

my family and my girlfriend's family are best friends. that's how i met my girlfriend cause we were forced to play together our whole childhood. i always thought it was kinda weird. i feel like her parents know me too well and vice versa sometimes. it's a weird change in dynamics.

Pushing my buttons with this...

He/it was only worthless because he didn't ever have a backup plan and because the fields of work he was trying to pursue were so unstable or almost non existent he spent most of the relationship being jobless and mooching off me so severely I ended up having to move back home.

I refuse to take that kind of risk again.

It's an old fashion thing... specifically because the Dominicans in my family adopted the idea from the Italians of my family and has never changed since then. wink.gif

Who ever's marrying into the family, no lie, they need to prove that they've graduated college. Oh and that's another thing lol... our family is strongly against dating before or even during the years of education, including college. They believe relationships simply distort the mind and that family and education is more important than anything else, including friends.

Aww, that's so cute, hahaha. XD.gif

My parents would get along pretty well with the guys I've been interested in, as long as they don't know we're together. laugh.gif

My grandma thinks the guy I'm currently interested in is a wuss. _unsure.gif

Why? I don't think the parents appreciate that you're purposely avoiding them. _dry.gif

My boyfriend's parents are weird, but then again my parents are kind of weird too. I have a really bad relationship with my father (everyone on my mom's side does as well), so I haven't told him, although I am not sure if he knows or not.

My mother found out before I told her, but she kept quiet about it. I wasn't ready to tell her until right before senior prom, since I wanted to prove that I could handle a relationship and still do really well in school. My mom and the rest of my family like my boyfriend, so it's all good.

Eh... it's weird between me and Tony's family. His dad jokes around, so I can't really tell if he likes me, but it seems like he approves since I go to college. His mother's too traditional so I don't really understand her most of the time. However, this is minor, since the person who holds the most authority in his house is his older sister. She thinks she's really "experienced" and knows everything since she's older, but she really doesn't, lol. She's really superficial, so his mother gets influenced by his sister. But I can somewhat be favored by her when she's not going through one of her "crazy vietnamese lady" moments.

It's true! Some shady guy came in and tried selling her fake an ipod nano, and she bought two of them! this was back when the first generation ipod nanos came out! I think she lost like $250 to $300 on them.

And she's like "This is really bad, but well, you live and learn blah blah blah"

And I was like mellow.gif I know people who have been scammed before in much worse situations.

My boyfriend and I were like, yea that's what you get for being so cheap. You can't cheat the system. Why buy them at all when you can just wait or buy an mp3 player that's NOT an ipod, or just wait until new ones come out for cheaper...
