if i want to have something technical done on my website like ebay (24/7 auction) or something like twitter but dont know how to do it, is there somewhere you can pay to have it done?
not the design, just the tech part. |

elance.com, guru.com, odesk.com
those are the three least expensive sites i know of to hire a freelancer, but keep in mind, it's not cheap to have a lot of back end programming done. |

wow thanks for all those great links. you think its possible that the person whos going to help make your website pretend they cant make it, after you tell what its about then steal your your idea and make it for themselves?

it's possible, yes, but most of the designers / programmers on there just want to be paid right away. they don't want to put money into building a website and marketing it and only getting paid if their website ever takes off. by building one for you, they're guaranteed payment.

lol yeah you never know, theres a lot creative people here. i noticed you said "least expensive". those sites you gave look like they cover it all, what more can you do with "expensive" ones?

expensive programmers can usually provide you with a faster turn-around on your project and better database design (much less of a resource hog). but inexpensive doesn't mean cheap; inexpensive programmers could just as well give you the same quality and speed as someone charging twice, three times, ten times as much.
